ABOUT
Hartwell Agency is a boutique literary packaging and intellectual property development company. We develop and package books and original intellectual property for traditional publishing, film, television, and media.
Established by Elvira K. Gonzalez, a former NCAA Division I athlete/coach and traditionally published author, Hartwell is built on firsthand experience navigating both the publishing and entertainment industries. Elvira developed the book proposal for her debut memoir, which went on to secure a six-figure preemptive publishing deal with Macmillan. The book also attracted film & tv interest and inspired an upcoming documentary.
Before launching Hartwell, Elvira founded Writers Inkubator, where she worked with authors to develop book proposals, secure literary representation, and position them for traditional publishing. Her personal entertainment and intellectual property transactions are represented by entertainment attorney Linda Lichter.
Today, Hartwell collaborates with creative partners to develop & package commercially compelling books and intellectual property for publication and adaptation.
